Walking dog issue! please helpp

ok so my dog has recently been constipated so he’s scared to go on walks, which just makes the pain worse when he finally goes. He is so stubborn, and will start screaming as soon as I yank on the leash to take him out. Please please help!! Also, he’ll walk fine at other people’s houses, like my dad’s and grandma’s, but he associates our house/neighborhood with constipation I guess and I really want to get him to not be scared anymore!! HELP. thanks!

Sometimes “yelling” is simply “protesting”…he doesn’t want to go, so he’s letting you know about it. If he doesn’t protest at other people houses, then his interest level is higher (it’s all new stuff you know)…Try taking him in a whole new direction…letting him see/smell/do new things.

I mix all bran in with my dog’s food. it does the trick and loosens everything… Why are you yanking on the leash? You sound impatient with him… maybe he is reacting more to your behavior than to his “fear” of going…

get him a treat and try to take him out with that. walk out before him and lay it on the ground. if you try to force him out, he’s just going to be more frightened. just be patient and let him go outside on his own.
