What foods should I stay away from?
I want to give up most junk foods for lent. well all junk foods, and I know I should stay away from like, chips and candy and things of the sort..but what are some other foods in the junk food area that I should stay away from?
Try to stay away from all heavily processed foods. Anything not mostly natural. Good for you: fresh fruits and veggies, whole grain bread, milk, whole meats, etc. Not so good for you: Candy, soft drinks, chicken nuggets or hot dogs, etc.
The best way to give up junk food is to buy nothing but fresh veggies, meat and fruits. Cook a fresh meal every night. Many things that your dont think are junk food really areā¦almost everything is processed now and had way too much corn starch in it which is only a filler. In fact, when you cook, at a little spice to your food. Studies show that people who eat spicier food actually eat less and better because the peppers actually speed up your metabolism.
