What does it mean when I have brown spotting during the night?

Hi. I’m 20 years old and I havent kept track of my period these past months, but I can’t remember having one for a while. I usually take the pill, but I gave been off if since late January. I’ve been having regular unprotected sex since. Last week my abdominal area started to swell and I assumed I was to start my period, but I didn’t. A week later I had some spotting, then it stopped and woke up the next morning and some more spotting happened. Light brown color, it wasn’t like a thin liquid type, it was like discharge. I haven’t felt nothing but tired and headachy this week and lost appertite. I don’t feel ill, just strange :S I keep Reading symptoms that suggest I’m pregnant. help??

No birth control pill + no period + unprotected sex = possible pregnancy. The brown spotting could be a light period, or implantation bleeding if you are pregnant. Since you aren’t calculating your period, there’s no way to tell when to take a pregnancy test (usually two weeks after a missed period). So I’d just take one ASAP if I were you…good luck..
