Answer #1

Ouch.. I don’t want to see Braveheart. =/

Answer #2

yes, they kill the person.

Answer #3

Yes it’s a summary execution can be done by any of the following although some have been outlawed. -Firing Squad- -Gas Chamber- -Electric Chair- -Lethal Injection- -Hanging- And others I’m sure I left out.

Answer #4

There is no unified answer on the death penalty between either party. So to say one is for and the other is against would be incorrect.

It means you are put to death. There is still 5 differnt methods currently in use though 1 is the majority. Listed in order of most common

Lethal Injection - 36 States Electrocution - 9 States Gas Chamber - 11 States (lethal Injection offered as alternative) Hanging - 3 States (lethal Injection offered as alternative) Firing Squad - 1 State (lethal Injection offered as alternative)

(Utah also has firing squad but Utah only offers the firing squad for inmates who chose this method prior to its elimination as an option. And now only offers Lethal Injection)

Answer #5

if you really wanna impress your history teacher I surgest you do it on the classic english death penalty of being hung, drawn and quartered

++from Wiki++

  1. Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution. This is one possible meaning of drawn.

  2. Hanged by the neck for a short time or until almost dead (hanged).

  3. Disembowelled and emasculated and the genitalia and entrails burned before the condemned’s eyes (this is another meaning of drawn—see the reference to the Oxford English Dictionary below)

  4. The body beheaded, then divided into four parts (quartered).

remember Braveheart? Wallace was executed like this ;)

Answer #6

It is pretty self explanatory. It is a penalty of death. It is a barbaric practice that a civilized society should not be engaging in.

Answer #7

No, the death penalty does not mean they put you to death. They just pretend to kill you so you learn your lesson. It is a barbaric practice as jimahl stated.
