Im 26 years with a 10 yr daughter so I was 16 when I had her…I was well educated about what sex was and how babies were made.I am not a product of a broken home. my parents have been married over 30 years..and made sure we new the consequences of having sex at a young age..I didn’t know any thing about welfare so it wasn’t for money and was defiantly not on purpose…most Adults cant get safe sex down..how can we Expect our children to have safe sex ??? my friends didn’t pressure me to have sex either ,but I was pressured to have a boyfriend after all your popularity was based on which guy was your boy friend. not weather you had sex with him or not .Sex is everywhere all over the media that I believe was my biggest influence. Not my peers.its like the first time you ride your bike (its a big deal) but after a year or two later it just seems normal you dont even think about it. You just do it . What I mean is that I heard about sex soo much that it just seemed normal for a girl at that age..I was desensitized it didn’t seam like a big deal even though I knew better. ..But I must say the best thing my parents did was make me responsible for my daughter I got a job and my own place even paid for daycare. I did it all by myself And that I am proud of …if parents would make there kids responsible and they had that all over the media I think we would have less teen pregnancies. insted of giving them to many easy ways out .. kids think if I get pregnant no big deal my mom will take care of it !!!

a lack of sex education is obviously the first thing few teens have much if any sex education before they go off and have sex so they dont know the consequences of what there doing a lot of kids and teens dont know all the ways that pregnancy can occur, and even if they have protection, not all of them know how to use it properly then theres all the unhelpful/stupid/false advise they can get from the internet, magazines and from friends there own age also theres a kind of epidemic now were quite a few children and teens acually want to get pregnnat and be a teenage mum. these kids still rarely are educated about sex but they do it for other reaosns like they want soemthing to love or want all the mone the government will give them or want to be pregnant with ll there friends, ect but a lack of sex education id the first reason

Seems like the new “trend” is to have their pregnant bellies posted all over a social site.A few girls at my school love to show off their bellies. And then theres girls like me who try to hide it as much as possible.I dont flaunt it,I didnt do it on purpose and im not proud of it.but whats done is done and I will take responsibility for my actions.

I think it is because more and more young women think that they should have sex or are being forced to have sex at a younger age through peir preasure or through something else like a boyfriend wanting to have sex. they might feel that if they do it it will mean their an adult, wich isn’t true. they might want to grow up faster so they do that.It could be from the sexual things that go on tv like some anime( japaneze cartoon) or a soup opra. that is what I think. I hope I’ve helped.
