What do you know about the United Penacostal church?

Just curious, what do you know about the United Penacostal Church? Are they different then some religions? My second part to this, how strict are they? as far as rules?

I am not a member of the UPC, but I visit there sometimes whenI feel my church isn’t enough.

The UPC teaches that Jesus is God. Most Christian churches teach that! In my opinion, if a churches won’t say that jesus is God then it isn’t Christian.

What makes UPC different is that they teach that Jesus is not only the Son of God, but he is the Father and the Holy Ghost as well.

There are scriptures that back up this doctrine. I get questions like, “So when Jesus was praying was he talking to himself?” This is the paradox of God.

The UPC is strict. Do yo want to live a holy life and be obedient to the Lord? United Pentecostal women never cut their hair or wear pants. The men have short hair according to the Bible.

Also, when they baptize. They baptize in Jesus Name. That is different from most churches that baptize in the name of the Fathe,r and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I was recently re-baptize at a UPC revival meeting because the message was clear to me. “Jesus” is the name of the Fathe,r and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Well, being that I am one =P. The penicostol church…well…I can go over basics and thats about it. and a list is the only way I can describe it =S

  1. fasting is big
  2. long sleeve shirts and girls must wear skirts
  3. you speak in tounges (not like spanish, german etc,)
  4. we shout and scream our praise to the lord =D and they arent very strict…it depends on the pastor. My pastor yelled at me for not having on a tie…

I am Pentecostal and our religion is based upon very strict beliefs. We always praise Jesus as our True God and He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is known as the Holy Trinity with tri- meaning three.

I have always wanted to attend a Church such as the one you are mentioning. I never went against the Laws of Jesus Christ. I have never tarnished the body which God gave me. I never drink any kind of liqour or alcohol, never smoked, never did any kid of drug that is in existence, and never had sex before marriage. It is better to have a pure body and soul than to have a soul filled with complete darkness.
