What do I do with a cell phone that went through a wash cycle?

My 12 year old grandson left his phone in his jeans and his Mom washed them without checking. He is heartsick. What can we do to see if it will ever work again?

Pray to god he’s still on the phone warranty and take it back to replace it. If he isn’t on the warranty or never had one…I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe he needs to be reminded to empty his pockets, or better yet, maybe mommy needs to be reminded kids usually leave gum, pens, and cell phones in their pockets. A lesson learned I guess, but that is really upsetting. I guess get him a new one for Christmas, and tell him to take better care of it this time, because next time he won’t get another chance. He’ll cherish that new cell phone with his life!! :)

ohkay what you do is get a bag of rice take out the batery and sim put the phoone battery and sim in the rice seal it and leave it over night!!! this worked great for me because the rice absorbs all the water! hope it works for you too

you could take out the battery and dry the phone and battery with a blow dryer.. but usually that doesnt work.. you’d probably have to get a new one.
