Why won't my Photoshop Elements work now?

I just got a new dell laptop for my birthday a few weeks ago and up untill now my photoshop elements worked great! But now it wont even open and I tried everything!!! And just so you know I did install it and my laptop is a windows 7 thanks please help

I’ve had elements running on both a 32bit and 64bit version of win7… I went back to paint shop pro 9 though cus it was just too, well not very gd anymore..

if you go to the folder elements is installed in (summet like) C\program files x86\elements what happens when you double click the .exe to launch the program? it should be a lil blue box next to it just like the elements image on desktop… or is cs4 blue and elements red? doesnt matter you know what I mean ;)

if your still getting the same prob from trying the 1st option then do this

right click the desktop icon (if no desktop icon do the same from ‘all programs’ menu) and select properties - short cut

and tell me whats in the ‘target’ and ‘start in’…

also have a look in ‘Security’ and tell me if everything is set to ‘Allow’

edit:… I’ve just thought. did it come preinstalled on your laptop? if it did it might have just been a trial. did you pay for the software yourself?

it could be you dident close it down right or theres something wrong with your elements or it might not be conpatible with windows 7

I know you said it worked before but sometimes computer can have a mind of its own

what I would do is remove the programme and install it again
