What can I do when I'm bored so I don't overeat?

What are some things that I can do so that I don’t over eat??? I was doing great today! I ate a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner and then after dinner I ended up eating a piece of cake even though I really wasn’t hungry, I was just bored. So what can I do so I don’t get bored and eat?

I like to call my friends and chat, do a lil workout, watch a lil tv, listen to some music, eat fruits and lil snacks, go outside and do some shopping:D, daydream, and yeahs~

go for a run around the block, it takes my mind off of food, but I also give myself manicures and pedicures which I pretty time consuming, and if neither of those work, I just sleep =]

I usually over-eat in the evenings.. so I try and have a bath.. and I do the whole shave/wash hair/exfoliate/nails thing.. and when I’m hungry.. I try drinking a redbush tea with honey.. or a herbal tea.. or even a cuppa soup :)

Either that or find a buddy online to make a healthy diary with.. and every time you resist temptation you can both make an entry in the diary and give yourself a pat on the back :) And that way you can keep track of what your eating habits are. The more you eat junk food.. the more you want it. If you resist it for a few days.. you wont want it any more :)

I struggle with the same problem I gained 20 pounds since the hollidays and I fell like I am hungry all the time so when I am bored its even worse. so what I do is find a substitude I pray or you can eat some thing healthy like carrots or fruit or read a book .

Exercise, eat a piece of fruit or yogurt. Try not to have junk food in the house.
