What do you do if you can't poo?

Dear dwickybits, First of all there isn’t anything embarrassing about not being able to “poo”. We all will have that happen to us at one time or another. There are various reason why we can’t. Some more serious than others. If it has only been a day or so a stool softener can help as well as eating something like corn, nuts, fiber or prunes. If it lasts longer then 4-5 days and there is discomfort a visit to the doctor is in order. Stress, change in diet and lack of water can be only a few reasons why this can happen. It is always a good idea to see a doctor in these cases. Sue…good luck

my mom has that, she bought some pills from the doctor, I think it has laxative in it.
