What can cause weight loss with certain birth controls?

What birth control is this?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! I have only ever heard of birth control making you gain weight….. I need to get some of what you’ve got!

i take the generic version of yasmen. ocella i think its called. anyway my friend got on the shot and she was kinda big and she lost a total of 80lbs. i know lots of ppl who lost weight on birth control.

i did and she said i shouldn’t lose anymore weight. that wasn’t my question. my question was what causes the weight loss when starting a new birth control. i’m not concerned about 5 lbs that i will most likely gain back. i was curious why you lose weight if your eating habits are the same and your excersise is.

Hormonal change…

• can cause you to loose water or to store more liquid in your body. It’s most probably that if the weight loss came very fast.
• can change your appetites.
• can change your digestion functions.

Hormones can cause a change in appetite. That is probably why, you might be eating less without knowing it. Also for some people the extra hormones can cause constipation, but it could be aiding your digestive function.

I eat the same amount as before if not more and more often.
