Answer #1

haaa! that is great P, I know that would have worked.

Answer #2

I wouldnt think so but then again, the bible has been changed and re-worded for centuries smoking weed isnt the best thing to do though just because its a plant doesnt make it safe berries come from trees, and some of them can kill you

Answer #3

I’m not sure - but I wouldn’t be suprised if it did. In the past, almost everyone smoked marijuana, it’s a plant and it was not uncommen.

Answer #4

no

Answer #5

this is merly an observation that I would like to ask.

“I am not sure, but would not be suprised if it did, in the past almost everyone did”

You are admitting to never reading the bible. In another post sometime ago you stated that the bible was merly a made up story. But some how you have proof that in that time almost everyone smoked weed. And it was people who followed God. Hmmm.

Captianassisan. thanks for the input.

Answer #6

no

Answer #7

That’s probably what the guys that wrote the “bible” were smoking at the time

Answer #8

You may have misunderstood “High on the holy spirit.”

Answer #9

No.

Answer #10

I don’t think so.

Answer #11

Nope!

Answer #12

The chemical THC found in weed makes weed a drug. This drug is not legal and therefore it’s classified as a street narcotic. Weed does alter ones mood and mindset. Therefore weed is not edifying for us to ingest even though God did create it. It is much more useful & purposeful for making ropes and other non-consumed products. The Bible does not condone the use of weed by ingestion by any stretch of ones vain imagination.

Answer #13

go weed!!! who doesnt love weed and if you don t youve probably never smoked it so go and try

Answer #14

No.

Answer #15

haha I don’t know! but it does talk about beastyality

Answer #16

There is nothing wrong with smoking weed, it won’t harm you, even if you smoke everyday all day. (see: Bob Marley)

Answer #17

Well, since the Bible is pretty much up for interpetation, by any and all, it would depend on who you’re talking to…if only I’d known that “the bible told me to” in my wilder days…I would have used it in court! :)

Answer #18

Not directly, but there are references in the Bible thought by some scholars to be references to psychedelic substances. For example, the bitter drink the priests drunk is argued by some scholars to be a drink made from the plant known as wormwood (which is curiously mentioned in Revelation as well).

The manna in the desert matches exactly the description of psilocybe mushrooms, which were used by ancient pagans to “commune with god”.

And of course there is the mention of wine as well.

So, there is mention of three psychotropic substances in the Bible, used in spiritual ceremonies. But to my knowledge there is no reference to 420, explicit or implicit.

Answer #19

It never said anything about smoking weed..SOOOooo, its not okay to smoke it…!!

yeah he said something about eating it..But Okay when you think about weed and you think about doing it… you think about IF you do it…you’re going to “get high”.. people dont do it just to do it.they do it to get high… weed+high=abuse.

Answer #20

Why would anybody care what the Bible says about pot? Most people have figured out by now that the Bible is only a book of tales not to be taken literally. It was written to explain things that the people of the time were not able to explain by scientific means. Stop worrying about it, and just behave responsibly and reasonably, and everything will work out just fine.

Answer #21

The bible is a very good source. in REV 22: 1-2 “cana” got its name from the root word cannabis indicating that hemp was grow there.

and God said I give you herbs as MEAT so you shall feast upon them !

Answer #22

wow I can tell who the potheads are here. there are more uses to everythng then just rolling it up and smoking it. thats like saying we should smoke the bark off trees. I mean its natural right? that means god wants us to smoke it right? you guys are idiots.

Answer #23

nope, not ‘smoke’ exactly. but it does speak about the holy herb in a number of places. the perfect medicine for a thousand different ills.. theholyherb.org explains it better than I.

Answer #24

The only plant referred to as the ‘holy herb’ would be hyssop (sorghum vulgare). Hyssop was used to clean the temples and other sacred places of the Egyptians.

Here are some verses that people commonly use to defend the use of marijuana:

‘God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth.…To you it will be for MEAT.” … And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.’ [Genesis 1:29-31]

‘ ‘’And I will raise up for them a PLANT OF RENOWN, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.’’ ‘ [Ezekiel 34:29]

‘The Lord said unto me, ‘’I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs.’’ ‘ [Isaiah 18:4-5]

Granted, the scriptures are pretty vague, as usual. And none of them say anything that would indicate that God REQUIRES us to toke up. But the scripture in Genesis, that refers to plants as ‘meat’ …DOES support the belief that every plant (cannabis included) was put on Earth, by God, for us to use/consume/etc. With that in mind, I would conclude that it IS okay to smoke or eat marijuana, but that it is NOT okay to ABUSE it.

Answer #25

Marijuana can’t kill you though - as long as you don’t smoke it.

Answer #26

Weed is the bomb smoking it only relax’s you and medically its used all over the world nobody robs you high on only weed its not a drug that causes banks to be robbed and guns ablazin robbing people for there joints . now its illegal so there is guns involved with the growers of the weed for im sure profit for more harder drugs . pot should be legalized its harmless other than a few brain cells but to me its the same as drinking coffee coffee is a drug and addictive and discusting id smoke a joint anyday over gross coffee.all you should give your heads a shake there is no such thing as god and thats all bullshit for power and money and raping young boys seriously now give your heads a shake !!!

Answer #27

I’m not sure but the Bible does say in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.” So if you are smoking, you are destroying your body, which is God’s temple.

Answer #28

God has given us life. He has created certain herbs and plants for eating and healing.

"Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs." (Genesis 9:3, NKJV).

Also, Revelation 22:2:

"In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. " (Revelation 22:2, NKJV)

Healing of the Nation has often been another name for weed also,

Answer #29

weed cant kill you at all,

Answer #30

no i dont think it does but in Genesis 1:29 it says: And God said, Behold , I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. marijuana is a herb and it bears seeds, it does NOT kill, GOD gave it to us for use, It slows down cancer, its a natural cure for ADD/ADHD and its a natural healer for other sickness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer #31
