Wear white?

Is it OK to wear white after Labor Day in Arizona?

Answer #1

Oh no it did not come to an end in the 50’s. lol, thats too funny. Many of the older crowd still go by that today. Especially in the South. It was alive and well in the 80’s and 90’s with my grandma and her “crowd”. Still other people still go by it today. It was so ingrained into me growing up that I still don’t wear white shoes after labor day (just one of those things that is hard to change), but I think if you want to wear it go ahead.

It’s not like there is a fashion police that will show up or anything. So what if you wear white after labor day? ITS YOUR LIFE, live it like you want to. But if you see some snooty woman looking at you weird, you know what she is thinking. lol.

Most of this is written in jest, because of the way I was raised, but I really do feel that you should WEAR WHAT YOU WANT TO. And most of all, have fun!!

Answer #2

You can wear white anytime you want.

The idea of not wearing white after Labor Day came to it’s peak (and inevitable end) back in the 50’s.

Answer #3

Well there is no specific rule saying you CAN in Arizona, but I don’t see how anyone would actually observe that silly old thing when it’s 115 degrees and steamy out. No one in Florida really observes it, I think it’s mostly for colder places =)

Answer #4

I wear white almost everyday so I cant say it matters!!! wear it when ever you want…be an individual…dont let people dictate your fashion choices

Answer #5
