Water marks remover for stainless steel?

The pans we have are about six years old now, and they have spots on them. Can anybody let me know what water marks remover for stainless steel has worked for them?

I have heard from other people that white vinager works well, but never tried it myself. This previous discussion: http://www.funadvice.com/q/stainless_steel has some similar advice, and also mentions a product called stainless steel magic. If that’s available at your local grocery store, you might try that one out (read the label first, etc). Good luck.

Try using Wright’s Silver Cream silverware cleaner. I used it on a water stain on the front of my stainless steel refrigerator and it only takes a little bit of scrubbing to get rid of the stain. Refrigerator front looks good as new.

You’ll need extra-fine steel wool (0000 grade), distilled white vinegar and some soft dish towels. Pour a little vinegar on the steel wool and gently rub over the surface. Straight away, polish the surface with the clean dry dish towel. Actually, this method of removing water spots is also a good method for periodic cleaning. It is pretty easy, doesn’t take a lot of time and your stainless is left spot-free and gleaming
