Water bloating

So I recently read that its good to drink TONS of water to help loose weight. And I think thats what I’ve been missing. But The only thing that bugs me is, drinking makes me bloated. I drink a lot of water but it always makes me feel fat after. I know that water wont make you fat. But the feeling is annoying. What can I do to reduce bloating. Or do I just have to wait it out until it passes? And if so how long does it take to lose the bloated feeling? thanks!!

Answer #1

I find mine bloates from the top of my stomach. sometimes feels like its stuck. I never feel thirsty and can go without a drink all day, which I know is bad for you. does anybody have any help or answers they can pass on. doctors are usless and I’ve been going to an alergy clinic, which has helped.

Intense is right…you don’t need to take in that much water…make sure that you never go beyond the point of getting slightly thirsty, but if you’re feeling bloated from it, it means you’re drinking to much.

Answer #3

You don’t need to drink excessive amounts of water unless you are running a marathon. It is purely a myth which has been proved as incorrect. Drink when you are starting to becoming slightly thirsty, not to the point of feeling bloated. Drinking tea (not coffee) can also count in your daily water intake.

—A woman drank 2 gallons of water and died from drowning her own body… Not her lungs her body.—

Actually, I think it was closer to three gallons, she didn’t urinate, and her brain expanded to the point of killing her.

2L a day is nothing u’ll be fine lol

And as for the bloating thing, I get the same feeling lol I feel fat too hah, but yea there is no way to avoid it. But you have to remember there are pros and cons to every diet. At least by drinking a lot of water you won’t feel like you’re starving to death to lose weight.

Answer #6

Thanks for the info but im well aware that drinking too much is bad. I’m drinking like 4 bottles a day. Thats not enough to kill me lol

Answer #7

I can’t answer your question directly, But remember drinking too much of anything WILL kill you… They already proved this when they had a water drinking contest for a 360 I belive… A woman drank 2 gallons of water and died from drowning her own body… Not her lungs her body.

OK…So.I just ate two polish sausages (hot dog size) on buns about 2 hours ago. I had a glass of milk with it. That’s the first that I have eaten today and it is now 2pm. I just had 4 big swallows of some ice water and now my belly feels like a basket ball and I am fatigued and sluggish and bloated. This happens all the time when I drink water and I don’t drink too much of it. So what’s up with this. Is it the sodium in the sausage that gets me and the water that activates it or what? It’s weird to me that water does this

Answer #9

No, I looked this up all over on medical websites and it says water cannot make you bloated unless you drink way too much like that one lady.

If you feel bloated from water (it happens to me too, I hate it!) it’s from having too much sodium/salt in your diet, which makes your body retain water rather than peeing it out.

Try eating a little less sodium and the bloating should stop.

And also make sure you have enough fiber.
