I think that would be a fantastic opportunity for you Naomi and it will give you a break from your day to day routine.

You will be able to look back on this in years to come and be proud of yourself and what you done.

If its something you want to do, then go for it. There are a lot of precautions you will need to take though. And it would consist of a lot of research. All those things would take money, so save up and follow your dreams.

I like helping people, so it would be a chance to achieve something that would benefit lots of people. I could go to build a school, build new water functions and other stuff that could help make there life easier.

I live in Africa so honestly it isnt a big deal to me, but you need to be prepared, there’s no comfortable airconditioned rooms (if there are rooms at all), you’re going to have to get a bunch of vaccinations, there’s always the possibility of falling sick (either the food, or malaria or something similar), the roads and equipment are from the middle ages, and all in all it isn’t very cushy out there…

If you can deal with all that, then volunteering can be very rewarding… just keep in mind you’re going to have to sacrifice comfort for a little bit… (think of it like going camping for a bit)
