VHS/DVD/Camcorder to computer?

How can I transfer my home movies from my VHS/DVD/Camcorder onto my computer?

You can get a converter that will connect one of those devices to your computer – either by USB, or by a card that goes inside the computer.

All of the devices listed have the ability to have what’s called a composite RCA connector, that would plug into the converter, and then the converter is either already inside your computer, or you’ve connected it by USB…

You should plan on anywhere from $50-$100 for this converter depending on its features.

That plus the software to record is all that’s needed… oh wait… there IS one more thing…

DISK SPACE! You’ll need a LOT of that!!! If your computer doesnt have much, get yourself an external hard drive — plan on 500gb or greater if you have a lot of this to do, otherwise you should look at the largest you can afford because you WILL eat up all your disk space doing this…

Good luck!
