Uploading videos from camcorder to computer?

so I made a video on my camcorder and now I wanna upload it to my computer as a file. any idea on how to do this?

what kind of media storage does your camera have?? tape? surely not!! does the camera have a universal serial bus or usb port? fun mail me with some info and I will tell you how to do it.

First connect the camcorder to your computer via USB. Then you should see the camcorder listed as an “external device”. Depending on the make / model, you will have a few options:

  1. copy individual file(s) from the folder that represents the camcorder to the computer OR
  2. Copy the whole ‘reel’ of video recordings to the computer hard drive.

Either way, then after you copy it, you can edit the file with a video editing software such as windows movie maker, imovie or similar.
