What university is better for me to study French or History?

Ive just finished my standard grades(nearly 16 years old) and i want to either study french or history after i leave school. I want to go to either St Andrews or Edinburgh and want to know which ones better?

Both Universities have good reputation. I think I’d prefer St Andrews though. It has got history. And the town is smaller. So there is less distraction from your studies. Do you plan on a year abroad in any French University?
