im 19 and I work a minmum wage, part time job. I want to save for a car and school. and I pay 150 dollars a month for rent. ima be starting a 2nd job in about a week so ill be working mornings a nights. it sounded like a good idea and a change in my life. but now im thinking ima be taking on to much and im already REALLY stressed. im very nervouse and I dont want to mess up. because itll wear me down. Do you think its just my nerves getting the best of me, because im afraid of the change? and do you think its worth it to get a 2nd job? should I just go for it?

just try it! if it does not work out quite one job. I work one full time job one part time job go to college full time. I manage my time really well and still manage to get enough sleep to keep me going. I would just see how it goes and try to make a routine.

I work 55 hours a week and I’ll tell ya, it gets to me sometimes… I sleep 5 hours a night, (6 if I’m lucky) and all my free time goes to schooling. Just ask yourself how much you think you can handle and if the money is worth it. If you are stressed right now, it won’t get better when you have a second job. =)

I worked at only one job my first two years of college, then when we married I had to have a second job and continued the last two years. There were days when I got only 4 hours of sleep, we rarely went out, but we made it, even enjoyed it at times and are far better off now because of it now and look back at those times with fond memories.

You are 19. You have the whole rest of your life in front of you. Very little comes to us without working and even sacrificing for it. And don’t feel sorry for yourself, that you don’t have time to go out. You need to save for school anyway. Suffer a little now and prosper well later.

I did the same thing and I couldnt do it and both jobs fired me!!
