Desprete for help :(

I want to go to College, but I dont know what I want to do.

I mean I have such passion for video & audio but most say I should be a lawyer.

I want some thing that makes loads of money & where I can do what I love to do.

I dont want to just sit around & do nothing all day,

Does anyone know any good colleges here in Houston,Texas?

& what do you think I should major in?

Also what are some jobs I can get with Video?

If I can add a nugget of reality that might ease your mind a bit – the majority of people in the US workplace will change their careers at some point, and the majority of people will change jobs within that career no less than 10 times. The point is, no matter what you decide to study, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be trapped doing it for the rest of your life if you don’t like it.

College isn’t just a prep course for your future career. It’s there to give you a taste of many different fields of study, allowing you to choose the path and then job that suits you best. Chances are, the specifics of what you learn are going to be forgotten as soon as you leave, but it’s the taste-testing of what’s out there that’s really valuable.

So relax. No one said you have to choose the rest of your life right now. That’s what the “undeclared” box is for on the application.

Honestly … any job can make a lot of money if you’re good enough at it.

It depends also… are you planing on getting married if so who will look after the kids? because if it’s you, you’re not going to have as much time for a job.

But back to my point… sure a lawyer makes a lot of money but honestly it’s pretty dull because most of the times you’re not going to do high profile murder cases… just boring law suits.

Audio and video is where you should go if you are passionate about it.

With video there are lots of things you can go into.

Communications technology News Producer / Director / Editor Animation Game Design etc.

The list goes on it’s just a matter of figuring out what you like best.

There is a list of colleges / universities in Texas you can look through some that you may know or appeal to you or look at the programs they offer in video / audio

I don’t know about your school but here in grade 10 they tell us about a site called www.careercruising.com where we fill out a survey and it tells us what jobs are best for us. Then you can go on the site and research jobs, it tells you what you need, how much they make, what a typical day for them is like, etc.! Then it lists colleges / universities in your area that have those programs

I don’t live where you live…but here is my advice

If you love what you do…you’ll find a way to make lots of money from it…so pick what you love to do. Since you like audio and video, go for something in that line.
