Well, April, it does sound like you are anorexic. That is a disease where your mind gives you false images about yourself and causes you to eat less than the amount of food that is necessary to maintain a healthy body.

It usually takes a counselor or therapist to overcome this eating disorder.

Pick a weight that is in the middle for your age/height range. Write that weight down. That will be the weight that, when you reach it, you can start worrying about getting fat if you cross it.

Now, start eating. Slowly in small amounts until your body gets used to eating again. Always eat breakfast since that will jump-start your metabolism and help your body burn calories so that you don’t get fat.

Build up to drinking 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day, one glass before every meal (except breakfast) and before every snack.

Don’t worry about checking the weight scale. Checking it once a week is sufficient.

Get sufficient exercise to help burn calories and to tone your body’s muscles. That will help make your body look good while helping to keep off excess fat and it will help you feel good about yourself.

Remember, in your case, you have a bad body image of yourself. It isn’t real but it is what’s keeping you from eating. Stick to the formula above, while reminding yourself that the food you eat IS making you healthier and more beautiful, and you will find that being real and looking good is easy and that you have no reason to fear food.

I know exactly what your going through, I did the same thing for about 6 months and trust me, other people notice somethings wrong before you do. I was insercure about my body, and so started eating less, I got more and more compliaments about how good I was looking and so continued. After a while your body stops asking for food or being hungry for anymore than your usual intake meaning you dont notice that your eating a lot less than you used to. This is the point your probably at right now, and its there that you have to put a stop to it. My mum and friends noticed how thin I was getting at first but then my school even got involved I got taken to the doctors and given counciling - I very nearly got put into hospital becuase of my eating. You need to start eating healthily, I didnt eat big meals because thats hard but I ate lots of little snacks throughout the day, start getting your daily intake up again and you will start to feel hungry again. As for your mom, you should let her see how well your eating, talk to her about what you want and dont want to eat and why. Find some food that doesnt make you feel ill and make yourself eat it. If your mom see’s how well you are doing she will feel no need to make you see a doctor anymore. But honestly, even though people practically had to drag me there, when I actually talked to a doctor I realised I had to do something, if you cant make yourself eat properly on your own then maybe a doctor is the wake-up call you need. good luck and mail me if you have any questions its taken me about 5months but im healthy now!

Yea if I were you I’d start eating back to a healthy weight. I’d rather not start an eating disorder and getting forced fed through tubes in the hospital when things get serious…

Answer #4

I have the same problem, I’m not losing weight now, but I went through a stage of bulimia. so try to eat regularly so you don’t get too skinny

Answer #5

if you dont eat I will go to arizona and hurt u!!! thats why when I talk to you I tell you to eat!!! just call me or whatever but eat…I dont want you to get sick

Honestly, If you were overweight before and are losing a lot of weight it’s going to be really noticable. If you are hungry, truly hungry and don’t eat that’s unhealthy. as long as you’re not under weight, getting the right vitamins, minerals, etc. you need, you’re fine. If you’re not hungry after a while then don;t eat. the best way to be healthy and stay the right weight is to eat only when you’re hungry. healthy foods. don’t eat because you feel you have to when you’re not hungry and don’t neglect food ehen you;re starving.

well, if your parents have noticed that your losing weight, then your DEFFO losing weight. parents notice everything. if I was you, I would just eat. im in the same situation really, but I just force my self to eat. you dont want any eating dissorders developing. are you under any stress at all? because stress could be causing your loss of appitite. if not, your mom is right, you should go to the doctors. just to make sure there isnt anything medically wrong with you.
