Twilight Question

in the Twilight book, I forgot which one, (and yes, I started reading the Twilight Saga a year before anyone knew a movie was coming out) says Alice was in an asylum when she was human. why was she in the asylum?

I forgot because I read it a long time ago but I think its because her parents or someone put her there because I think they thought she was crazy

I think it was because James was chasing her and the guy who loved her put her in the asylum so she could be safe. And that is where she was turned into a vampire. Hope this helped. This is no apsolute cause I havent read it in a while.

It’s because as a human, she was a psychic. Her parents didnt know what to do about her, so they sent her there. Hope it helped!
