How can I turn on my built-in webcam on an HP Pavillion?

I think it’s an HP Pavillion, anyway. But, I’m not even sure if it’s a webcam…. It’s like, a tiny rectangle with a dark glass. I can’t see through it or anything. I have YouCam installed on my laptop, but whenever I turn on YouCam or I try to use my webcam on Windows Live, it says it can’t find it so it doesn’t work. The cam isn’t listed on my devices. I don’t know if it’s a cam. How Can I find out, and how can I turn it on? :(

if you have youcam auto installed on there then there should be a webcam on there im guessing its a notebook ? most hp notebooks come with cams now and not listed do u mean its not listed in device manager? if thats so then you should go into your recovery manager - then to the install drivers and software then looked for the webcam and reinstall it
