how do I get rid of youcam and keep my built in webcam?

I’ve just bought a compaq presario laptop… I am a singer in a band and on my last laptop I could use my webcam to record sound only at practices and I need to be able to do the same thing with this one. I do not like you cam I would never use a webcam to chat online or upload videos so what I would like to know is if I uninstall youcam will that mean I can use just my webcam thats built into my laptop? Is youcam & my webcam the same thing? I haven’t a clue about these things!! Please somebody help me I have been trying 4 hours and no such luck. Thanx ;) x

your cute. you can uninstall youcam if you wish. it will have no effect on the builtin webcam. whats your band name?
