Trying to find work with pending felonies?

My boyfriend at the time mother was arrested.Which was a shock.I went to see her at the jail and got arrested and charged with six felonies. I’ve never been in trouble before.I was in jail for 2 months due to my bond being so high.theres 11 co defendent in this case. I only know my boyfriend and his mother . I lost my great job ,all my credit cards and my car are way past due. I’ve been looking for work for the last 2 months. I havent even been convicted. And now with six felonies “pending” on my record I cant get a job. legally can employers turn me away for something I havent been convicted on?

Answer #1

They can not turn you down if you have not been convicted yet. Usually on a application they will ask if you have been convicted of a felony. If you do get the job though you will have to inform them about it.

Answer #2

Not unless the employer can prove that the conviction is related to the job

So if it’s a theft charge, you may have trouble getting a job in a bank, so to speak

Answer #3

On my back ground report it states F2 conspiracy,F3 Gang Lead Sydicate,F3 Control of leagal enterprise F3 Money laudering,F4 Transportation of dang drug & F4 Tele comm. of dang. drug. After it states all of that it says 1-6 pending. and no employer will call me back. I’ve been to temp services and they’ve turned me away. I explained that I have not been convicted but was told nothing can be done for me.
