Who knows if its true or not that your phone calls aren't private?

Like i read earlier on the internet that when your talking to someone on the cell phone, the two of you aren’t the only ones in the conversation.

Answer #1

if you put in *67 it is private i am 100% sure :)

Answer #2

It’s called wiretapping and I’m not sure of the situation about that. It’s from the Patriot act that George W. Bush passed.

Wiki : “The Act dramatically reduced restrictions on law enforcement agencies’ ability to search telephone, e-mail communications, medical, financial, and other records; eased restrictions on foreign intelligence gathering within the United States; expanded the Secretary of the Treasury’s authority to regulate financial transactions, particularly those involving foreign individuals and entities; and broadened the discretion of law enforcement and immigration authorities in detaining and deporting immigrants suspected of trrorism-related acts. The act also expanded the definition of trrorism to include domestic t*rrorism, thus enlarging the number of activities to which the USA PATRIOT Act’s expanded law enforcement powers could be applied.”

I’m not sure if still goes on today but it once did so yeah, I’m a little skeptical of it all.

The government has software that listens to EVERY phone call. If you say certain words like “bomb” or “ka-boom” a government person will probably listen, too. Cell phones calls can also be listened to by anyone who is near you with a little bit of fancy equipment.
