Is there a way I can backtrack a cell number to figure out who it is for free?

Answer #1

Not hardly, that violates privacy.

Answer #2

No as it does violate their privacy which I think is stupid. If someone has my number and calls me, I should have the right to know who it is.

Answer #3

If you have the cell number, there are reverse phone number lookup sites that may help.

In Canada it’s Canada411, I believe in the US it’s Whitepages.com

… it’s not a violation of privacy to know who has been calling you - when they choose to call you, they automatically waive that right.
