When is the best time to use hand sanitizer?

i read that people should not use it in place was soap and water. just as a last resort.

I think hand sanitizer should be used when you’re out and about when there isn’t a bar of soap and water near you.

I’ve heard that when you use hand sanitizer, you kill bacteria but there are still germs present because it is trapped in the hand sanitizer. When washing your hands with soap and water, you are rubbing the germs and bacteria off from the skins surface. You should use hand sanitizer when soap isn’t present but you shouldn’t use hand sanitizers in place of soaps.

I personally keep one in my backpack and my purse, and I’ll usually use it after I eat, or just randomly throughout the day. It definitely doesn’t substitute washing your hands with regular soap & water, though.

I use hand sanitizer whne I don’t have a sink & soap handy. So if I go to a germ infested area such as the gym! I use it after i’m done!

Also at work I carry it on me at all times. I work at the airport dealing with people all over the world.. so yes!
