Who thinks its okay if i homeschool my 8th grade year then go back to public hs?

Because right now my mom doesn’t really have the money for new clothes and stuff and im running out of stuff to wear.Plus i don’t like the enviornment, plus i have like no friends that are real except like one.and she won’t be in my school district until hs which is next year. -.-

Answer #1

Whichever you think will help you in your schooling more is what you should do.. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to be homeschooled until high school.

Answer #2

Good cute clothes can be bought at thrift stores of cheap….thats not a good enough excuse to not go to school. Everyone has times where they hate school and dont like the environment…thats life. You dont just quit everything in life becaue of your surroundings, youll never get that far.

Answer #3

Also if she doesn’t have enough money for new clothes, how will she afford homeschooling?

Answer #4

i think u should finish 8th grade yr and then ask the homeschooling program u will be doing to transfer ur official credits to the public high school u’ll be going to..

Answer #5

I don’t think it’s a good idea, personally. I can understand the money issue and having a difficult time with friends and the environment, but really, those are things that can be worked out or worked around. Like Mandy said, you could always buy clothing at thrift stores for a huge discount price. At the price you’d buy clothing there, you’d get 3x or more than you would if you shopped at brand name places or for new things. And really, sometimes when you go to the thrift stores you can find things that are almost in brand new condition.

As unfortunate as it is, I don’t think leaving school would exactly fix the issues you’re currently having there.. So..

Answer #6

i just really am getting tired of not knowing what to do.

School may suck at times, but I know many people who were homeschooled and they either hated it or they were at a disadvantage compared to public school kids. Also, as much as you may hate it, or the kids, or the teachers, stick with it. I hated every last minute of school. I was forced to go to school with my rapist and his whole group of friends. They all bullied me on a regular basis I was called names from liar to wh*re. It was awful. So bad I gave up my junior year. Now, I wish I hadn’t. I could have started college much earlier than I did and had my career by now. Clothes are not that important. If you have some, and they are in good, not ratty condition, then live with it. You aren’t in school to impress the opposite (or in some cases the same) sex, you are there to learn all you can so you can be prepared when real life hits you.

Answer #8

Listen up. You can’t hang out at home because you dont have a friend. You go make friends. What are you going to do when you graduate and you either go to college or start working? You’re going to limit yourself to places where you already know people? You can’t live life like that. Even if you wanted to and even if you tried to. Believe me, I went to the same school since I was 5, I wished my school would just come with my to college, but at some point, you can’t take people with you. And you learn to deal. You know you’re making excuses because it’s hard and you’re lonely and it sucks. But being at home is also going to be lonely. The only way to make friends is when you’re around people.
