Who else thinks CostCo's prices aren't as economical as they used to be?

It just seems to me that CostCo’s prices aren’t as good compared to your standard stores. Seems that if you went back 10 years or so they had quite a leg up on standard stores, at least for things that are fine to buy in bulk. Now they seem to be on par, or slightly more in some areas, with a much smaller selection of items that are better priced that your standard stores.

It usually depends on what you buy now days, it seems. Things like toothpaste and whatnot won’t get you a deal in Costco. Meat, however, usually seems like a better deal. You have to watch what you buy and check prices before shopping.

In any case, I do agree with you. The prices aren’t as great as they used to be.
