i think that is callous and at the salon they scrape it off but HEALTASTIC is cheap, affordable, reliable, and will work well with you..give it a try..!!

Answer #4

You could try using different shoes or walking barefoot at home. See if that helps to prevent it from growing thicker in the future.

Answer #5

The older we get the more attention we have to pay to our feet. That thick tough skin are calluses that have grown on your feet. The sell tons of products that can take care of them, pummel stones, lotions, etc. Don’t use the pedi-egg of prducts similar though - the look like thiny cheese graters and slowy tear off the skin - they aren’t safe and cause too much skin to come off and possible infections.

What i have found helps to prevent them from coming back is adding extra padding into shoes (like gel inserts, etc), always wearing shoes while outside, and when you get out the shower apply lotion to your feet before you put on socks to help lock in he moisture.

After working with peoples feet for years & teaching it too, I learned that no matter how hard you try to avoid it it will keep coming back unless you constantly treat your feet as you do your hands…with dedicated tlc! Personally I like the old remedies! What I use on my mom’s feet, who happens to also be a diabetic is good old fashion Vaseline intensive skin lotion. I have her soak her feet in a soothing bath (can use just a basin with very warm not boiling hot water add your favorite liquid soap and after 20 mins dry one foot and apply your favorite cream. Take the stone & in a circular motion scrub the whole foot from the toes to the ends. Make sure all of the unwanted dead skin sheds off then redo using some of the water and rescrub. Once you have done that dip the foot back into the water & pat dry. Apply another coat of cream & massage onto the foot until it is completely absorbed. repeat on the other foot as well! Take into consideration that with weather changes your skin will crack & shed as well. Keep moisturizing to avoid thick skin from developing.

Hope this helped.

i have the same problem because i ran around with bare feet in the summers growing up. I got a callaus shaver which yes sound really gross but it literally shaves off all the extra thick skin. and if you use the ped egg afterwards and use foot cream your feet will be smooth and its will be like you never had any thick skin.

Answer #8

Yeah im experiencing the start of my own feet becoming dry and rough…</3 haha. What i do is every time i go in the shower i scrub the bottom of my feet with a pummel stone (i always do this last though because it would give the dried skin on my feet enough time to soak up the water) and wash it down with soap until they’re nice and smooth. I also apply moisturizing lotion after the shower. this keeps my feet soft for a few days.

Answer #9

Do you wear flipflops a lot? My feet used to be extremely hard rough and thick due to the type of shoes I was wearing. When I switched shoeds it got better.

Answer #10

use a pumice bar..

Answer #11

I am incredibly lazy and well I hate all the beauty blah blah. I also get cracks on my feet because I’m lazy and walk around in flip flops all day. A pumice stone every day with lotion at night (wear socks) is your best bet. If you’re lazy, a ped egg takes 2 minutes.
