I’m really sorry for your loss…hang in there girl I’m sure you will get past the sadness and pain and will be able to get on with your life again. I think that since you have decided to go to the school counsellor you should keep going there and see if that help. Then if you think that a counsellor dosen’t help go to the therapist. I think its best to stick to one think at a time.

My mother passed away last year and for several months after that both my youngest siblings (13 & 14yrs old) visited the school counselor regularly. It seemed to help them quite a bit.

Oh honey I am so sorry for your loss. The passing of someone you know - especially a family member - will always have a heavy impact on you. Talking it out will always help. As painful as the thought may be to talk it out, think of the alternative: you will be keeping your thoughts and feelings locked deep inside until they define you and turn you into someone who is always sad. That isn’t what you want to be, right? I’d go to your school counselor and just sit and talk things out, how you feel, what happened and everything - if that doesn’t help talk to a close friend or a professional therapist. You will get through this dear, just hang in there :) I’m sure your dad would have wanted you to move on with good memories of him and not let his passing hold you back. So that is what you should do. Learn to move on with life but always keep the fond memories of him in mind because he will always be your dad and he still loves you. Good luck Casey, I know you can do this :)

Talking always helps. To anyone who is willing to listen. Just keep your heart and mind open. Dont forget the man he was, and the woman he made you today. <3 my prayers
