The weight wont come off! HELP!

I am 22 and weight 260lbs. I am getting married in October this year and would like to not be so over weight. I eat only 1300 calories a day (with doctor supervision) and exercise 1 hour 6 days a week. I have been doing this for 3 months and have only lost 5 lbs. does anyone have any other suggestions to help me get down 30lbs by October?

I’ve lost 8 pounds in under 2 weeks..by drinking a lot of water and every morning after a healty good sized breakfast walking up and down hills for an hour..hope this helps!!! I also find that if you exercise the same time everyday its more efficeint..but thats me..you should try it though!!! good luck!!!

get your meal plan together, ban all junk food, sugary &salty!!! Exercise. brisk walk or bicycle driving… do it everyday for 15-20 minutes, as your body gets used to it, go longer. I did crunches and many tummy exercises. I stopeed eating sugary stuff, cokes, cheese,fried stuff,icecreams.just eat cereals. salads, fruits in your meals withour dressings.dats wot worked for me and I was gd enough in losing so fast.. I cudnt believe when I chcked my wt , I lost 15 pounds in 2.5 months.

A friend of mine tried the Atkins to loose weight - worked a charm for her - she only did it for less than a month. Otherwise I don’t really know, if your genuinley only eating 1300 calories and exercising then really the weight should be coming off. What kind of exercise are you doing? Are you drinking lots of tea / coffee / fizzy diet drinks? Mail me and let me know

I forgot to add that if you have an underactive thyroid it can lead to a slow metabolism so maybe mention it to your doc

Get eating more, your body hAS GONE into STARVATION MODE AND thats why your not losing the weight. My advise would be to up your calorie intake to 1500 per day…it will then use those calories and you will start losing the weight. Believe me, this happened to me and I was getting so frustrated. Start by eating 1500 a day for two weeks then go down to 1400 for the next week after then back to 1500 cals per day again. keep up with the excercise but just five times a week. Keep tricking your body and the weight will come off! Als try and get out of breath when excercising, this will speed weight loss dramatically. you shoul be losing 1 - 2 lbs per week.
