I've been working at my job for a little over a year now. A few months into it they hired this man in the department next to me. he is absolutly perfect, so sweet and funny and goodlooking. we started hanging out on smoke breaks and sometimes before work. We just have this connection, recently I've begun to notice that im madly in love with him. I think he likes me too, he is always calling me beautiful and blowing kisses too me, and he just makes me so happy. the only BIG issue is he has a girlfriend and a new kid. I feel so awful, I know I shouldnt feel this way but there is nothing I can do about it. I want him but I dont want him to leave his girl because I know she would be crushed. but she is so awful to him, always cheating on him and he deserves so much better. what should I do???
So he's confided in you about his cheating girlfriend? I guess you guys talk about a lot of stuff. So why is he still with the girlfriend? Is it because of the child?
You'll just have to continue just being his friend for now. You can't do much, and he can't either because he will have to sort out his family first before going any further with you. It's really up to you if you want to continue flirting with him, but you know that he can't do anything with you now. Just... don't give him a reason to cheat on his girlfriend as well. Maybe tone the flirting down a bit, for your sake and his. I'm sure things are messed up enough at home for him.
