How long should a Tetnus shot hurt for?

is it normal for it to be hurting the day after I got it because it hurts really bad should I see a doctor or is it normal and it will go away on its own

Answer #1

when I got mine it hurt for 3 days..it makes you really sore after

Answer #2

It can hurt pretty bad for up to 3 or 4 days.

It’s because the stick it in the muscle tissue, which can bruise. The pain’ll last for for as long as a normal bruise.

Now you want a shot that hurt, get an anthrax vaccine. Holy crap!

After the 3rd one(anthrax vaccine is done in series. a couple weeks apart at first, then months, I think 6 shots total) you can barely move your arm for a few days, lol

Answer #3

It’s probably too late to call your doctor’s office but you could call the emergency room of your local hospital and ask them if it’s normal.

Answer #4

I got a tetanus shot 4 days ago and it still feels like someone punched me in my arm really, really hard! It swelled and felt hot to the touch. I am still waiting for the soreness to subside. According to a lot of other folks who have had the shot, some people can develop a localized reaction to the shot and it may take a few weeks to subside. Unless you develop a high fever with the soreness- I don’t believe that there is cause to worry.

Answer #5

The last tetanus shot I got was sore for a month. I’m actually overdue for another… ugh.

Answer #6

yeah sometimes immunizations hurt for a while,if it doesnt stop, talk to a doctor

Answer #7
