What would be the best temperature for a room storing a lot of electronics?

Or rather, what would be too cold? So winter time is setting in, and I generally like to keep my room a lot colder than average. This can include opening the window, etc… My only concern is for all the electronics in the room. I have a few TV’s, a pile of gaming systems and my laptop. Is it possible to get my room temperature too cold and potentially ruin any of these in some way? What would a good temperature be, or one not to go under?

Answer #1

Low temperatures are usually not a problem for electronics. Just do not go below freezing that can affect batteries, LCD’s and electrolytic capacitors. The greatest damage usually is caused by too much heat.

Answer #2

def not to hot or humid and not too cold :) norm room temp here that is like 15 to 20 degress Celsius

Answer #3

too low a temp would cause condensation, and we dont want liquid in our electronics do we..

come winter i keep my heating on all day and never turn it off..

as long as your not gonna cause a health risk to yourself being too cold then dont worry about anything like what temps a piece of electrical equipment is most comfortable with because in teh end it can be replaced, we cant.
