Is the tax break for Social Security a good idea?
I read up on Obama’s new tax cut plan, cutting off the taxes that go into Social Security. Here’s the article I got it from in case you might need it to formulate your answer: http://funadvice.com/r/bfciv8g5tvh
that would be extremely bad. social security is alrdy in the whole. cutting it would be worst and might as well just end social security. 6.2% is not much out of a pay check.
As if we’r not in enough debt I don’t enough about this stuff sounds strange tho
well it’s basically giving money back to the people since any tax cut means having more money in your pockets.
Oohh!!! Well I suppose that’s not too bad? Idk I suck at this stuff haha :)
but when you retire you know that check old people get…well thats social security…and with out social security we are going to be working until we die basically unless we save up a lot of money
I’m about not the best person to spoute out info to lol
i no lmao ;) im just saying. ahh we are all screwed when we are older o well lol
This is why they should all know before hand that there are a good chunk of other plans that serve the same purpose and are more individualized, 401k being an example of a retirement plan that is personalized. Most of the money Social Security has anyway is borrowed by the Fed to pay off it’s own debts. It has a reserve but, guess what, it’s just paper. There really isn’t any money in there.
Not a good idea at all. While it looks great in the short-run since it means more money in peoples pockets and less being taken out of their paychecks, in the long run it screws you. Social security is already at a low, this is going to make it worse. Especially now that people are living longer we need more mone going into social security and programs that help support the elderly financially…..not less.
No, but that is only one of many problems with the tax deal.
