Can black people tan?

You are light skinned. So yes, you can tan, and you’ll be able to see a difference. My boyfriend is mixed, and about your color, he has a major tanline, just from being outside. It will just make you darker. You can also get burned, be careful.

lol if you’re dark already, please dont “fake and bake” (go to the tanning salon) there is no need for you to do that. The tanning salon will just change the pigment of your skin. I know for super white people it makes them have an orange tint to their skin. But I’ve never met a black person that tans (at a salon). Plus, why tan there (you already have dark skin) and risk getting skin cancer. If you’re going to tan I think you should do it with natural sun. Outside. And yes you will tan. lol… you’ll get darker. Everyone can tan… but how dark you get depends on what your skin can handle. And how much color your skin can hold. :) Good luck with your tanning experiences! your skin is already fine, and having it being darker may look good on you, but may also make you look overly dark and with uneven skin tone.. so, be lucky your skin’s fine..

yes, you can also burn in the sun…but not nearly as easily and the sun has to be VERY harsh…for example in africa you’ll definitely burn (I have actually seen certain of my friends around here with sunburn) but in europe you’re skin won’t even get a little bit darker because the sun there isn’t as harsh.

Yes, black people can tan.. but I never saw much of a point.
