Does anyone else talk in a different voice when speaking to your pets?

i do..like my voice gets all high when im talking to my dogs haha

Answer #1

Always. And not just my pets but any animal, really. A really high-pitched cutesy voice and I don’t know why, lol. I think everyone does it.

Answer #2

I do. And I smile ALOT!

Answer #3

me. i make kissy noises and say “awww who wants celery??” to my guinea pigs :p

Answer #4

For some odd reason I speak in a british accent to my cats :l

Answer #5

I think most people do. Your pet is basically a dependent on you, like a child would be, so you are motherly towards it and talk like you would to a baby (who wouldn’t be able to reply either). It is natural :) I do it with most animals, not just my own pets.

Answer #6

Me! Me! Me!

When one of my not-so-smart dogs gets startled and barks at me, I bark back at them (seriously!).

Answer #7

I use that “doggy” voice technically used with babies too. That really high pitch voice.

Answer #8

I do too to both my female dogs. Like “Who’s a good girl?” before I give them a toy or a treat…or simply when they come to greet me in the morning. :P
