Swelling gums

Okay well I was wondering what can I do to reduse my swollen gums. I don’t have gingivites so please spare me all those answers. I have braces. My gums are starting to swell, and my ortho said that would happen if I didn’t floss. But I am flossing! So I was wondering what could ido to reduse gum swelling. They’re kinda sore and starting to swell. No gingivites I was already at the dentidt a little while back and the ortho they said I was gingivites free.

Answer #1

I’ve only been told to use warm water with a little salt

Answer #2

Yes.

It should help for both. The dentist recommended it to me, I bite on my teeth while sleeping and I have sore and swollen gums and it helps relieve the irritation, especially after brushing and flossing.

Answer #3

so mix the baking soda and warm salt water? does that help the sweeling or the soreness ‘cause that’s from me brushing too hard.

Answer #4

Try gargling with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and a teaspoon of salt mixed with a glass of warm (NOT HOT) water. That should at least reduce the irritation that you are feeling.

Answer #5

okay thank you very much
