Is birth control causing super sensitive skin?

I started using birth control pills to regulate my menstrual cycle two months ago and scince then I am very sensitive to the sun and my face is really broken out with small bumps almost looks like a rash that comes and goes , I feel like my skin is burning somtimes not just on my face , , could it be the birth control?

Sun sensitivity is a side effect of birth control. I recommend finding a good moisturizer that has an SPF of at least 15 in it.. you can even find a tinted one that you can wear instead of foundation. I know Neutrogena, for example, makes one. Make sure you put it on every morning, even if you aren’t planning on being outside that much. Then, if you’re actually doing an outdoorsy thing, apply and bring along an SPF 45 or more.

Also: drink a lot of water. Those two things combined should clear it up, but if not, make sure you talk to your doctor.

The type of birth control might be to strong for your body or you may be allergic to something in it. Contact your doctor as soon as possible and let them know what is going on.
