How do I stop thinking about almost getting kidnapped (read more)?

few days back i almost got kidnapped and i met with an accident. i did not get injured. but every night when i go to sleep the images of the kidnappers starts flashing in my head and that really scares me at times and my heart beat rate increases significantly. this has deprived me from sleep since then. i am not able to get this out of my mind. i try hanging out with my friends and that helps to a small extent as this mostly happens when i go to sleep. how do i stop thinking about this and how do i get over this? please help!!!

You might consider going to see a therapist, do your parents know?

This happened a few days ago? Have you told anybody? It’s only natural that your scared from such a traumatizing experience. It will take time to get over something like this. It helps to talk about it, rather than bottling it up. See a counselor. Keep spending time with friends.

Attempted kidnapping…you need to Police report asap…they may be stalking the area for a victim….tell your parents and talk to a professional to ease this trauma….wish you the very best !

tell your parents they cant make you feel protected and safe plus this kidnapper mite try a second time so go tell some one about it!

you need to tell your parents aditya, this is NOT a time to keep something from them. Like Natasha said, they may try again, if you value your life, then tell your parents, or some adult you trust

they cannot do it again cuz they were drunk then nd they dint even know wat they wer doin….. dis is india, my parents hav a really conservative approach… so i cannot tell dem abt it….
