Is it bad that I never tell my stepdad that I love him?

I think that you should at least tell him you appreciate all he’s done for you and if you do love him you should tell him. It will make him feel good and I think it will make you feel good too.

i have a step mom and my dad tells me that she does a lot for me and i should respect her but to be honest i dont like her.

but if you like him and you appreciate him (or anyone) you need to tell them you love them , cuz if something happens then you are gong to regret it (:

Yes, it is. You should always tell him you love him/Care about him. It would make him feel good and appreciated. However, I never tell my dad that I love him. Not because I don’t love him, I do, but it’s just awkward and stuff.

i’m the same way with my stepmom and my dad. my dad hardly shows affection, like hugging and stuff, and my stepmom does but i shy away from it. i guess im too uncomfortable with that kinda stuff because that was never in my household while growing up(when it was just me and my dad) so im not used to it. i think its alright, every person moves at their own pace when it comes to stepfamily and telling them you love them. just say it when you feel comfortable :)

You never know when it might be too late to tell someone how much you appreciate and love them. . 35 years ago my brothers first wife was killed in a motorbike accident. At her funeral, I realized that I had never told her how much I loved her as a valued family member and good friend. . I have never been able to forgive myself for that oversight. ….. . ….. I think you should tell your step-dad that you love him just as much as anyone could ever love their biological father. Don’t let yourself make the mistake that I made in assuming the affection and respect must be too obvious to need stating explicitly. .
