Sqeezing in my third meal
I’m trying to start eating healthy. Right now I usually just eat whenever I am hungry, and its usually not healthy. I want to start eating my 3 healthy meals a day. My problem is though, if I eat anytime before lunch, I feel nauseous. So that leaves me lunch and dinner, where should I squeeze in that third meal since I cant eat breakfast?
Rather than eat 3 meals a day, you should “graze” by eating 5 or 6 smaller, healthy meals throughout the day. Eat several servings of fruits and vegetables, rice, lean chicken, fish, beans, nuts, and whole grains.
When you say that eating in the morning makes you nauseous, is that any eating at all or certain foods? Eating heavy, starchy foods like biscuits or greasy foods like sausage can have that effect, but if you eat an orange or banana, or better yet some grapefruit (which has a substance that unclogs your arteries) you will be much better off.
Eating healthy can be difficult, because the fact is, a lot of unhealthy food just tastes really good. But you can make and eat healthy meals that taste great too. May I suggest you look at Dr. Weil’s website, www.drweil.com which has superb advice for eating healthy and eating to prevent sickness.
