Speeding ticket question

Ok I got pulled over tonight. I was comming to the end of an express way. There was a car in front of me, I procided to pass him then I noticed a cop on the side of the road faceing with the flow of trafic. He hid not have any of his lights on. He pulled me over down the road after I pulled into a parking lot. He said I was going 94 in a 40. Is it entrapment if the cop does not have his lights on? That is one question the othere is he was using radar not lazer is it possible he could have picked up someone behind me?

The police car does not have to have his lights on – that completely defeats the purpose of catching you!! If you saw him, you’d slow down – then you wouldn’t learn your lesson.

Quit trying to get out of it…you were speeding, you got caught. Pay the fine, and slow down next time.

it’s possible he could have got a car behind you, next you you , ect. but it doesnt matter if he has his lights on, or not. there’s undercover cops in cars other than cop cars, and they don’t have lights. it doesnt matter. sorry buddy =(

lol, you’ve obviously never been caught in a speed trap (they use planes, they actually dress as workmen etc etc…)

It’s not entrapment because he didnt coerce you into driving at that speed…

Be thankful he didnt arrest you or take you to the station (he can do that if you’re doing more than 30 over the speed limit)

They have lawyers that will fight these things, you may want to call them…

About a month or so ago I was going 78/55 and got pulled over by a (what looked like a unmarked car at first) but nevertheless it was a Sheriff and I couldn’t deny that I was speeding so I took the ticket that he gave me and for the first time ever I went to court over it because of the way he stopped me and I asked for a reduction and got one by not only the spokesperson (whatever you call them) but I also got one by the judge. It was reduced from 78/55 to 69/55 and the fine went from $210 to $140. I say take the ticket and go to court over it and ask for a reduction… :-) Good Luck!!!
