Why do my built-in speakers not have any sound?

i have a microsoft windows xp, with speakers buitl into the monitor, but i can’t get any sound! i’ve tried everything, but nothing helps! what should i do???

Check your connections first. There is a seperate sound cable that is integrated into the serial cable usually with these setups, If not you will need to add a sound cable back to the computer. Next look at your volume settings on the monitor itself, then check the windows volume settings. If this doesn’t help then check your device manager in the “system” icon in control panel to see if windows is having driver issues with your sound card. Funmail me if all else fails.
