Solving Equations and Formulas.

Alrighty.

Here’s my first question:

-3x + b = 6x

Please show me STEP BY STEP! How to do this.

-3x + b = 6x

to move the -3x to the other side of the equation, you subtract -3x from both sides, since it is being added to be (you do the opposite operation). And a subtracting a negative number is the same as adding, so that gives you so that gives you

b=6x=3x

Which simplified is b=9x

hmmm I think you should first move the -3x to the other side and then do as you would normally do… the answer should be b= 9x this is based from simple equation theory but if you have formulas that would help…

b = 6x + 3x (move 3x to other side, and change sign) b = 9x
