So what should we do with question ratings?

We just reverted back to the pevious method of allowing people to rate up to 3 answers per question…however…well, I’m not “excited” about the functionality. I think we could do it better (and thanks for the feedback on it - we’ll try not to make things worse in the future).

So if you could describe for me how we should do answer ratings, we’ll try to do it that way. Thoughts?

Answer #1

how about let people give one yes and one no

Answer #2

1-10 SCALE WOULD BE BEST

oops…all caps

Answer #3

maybe you could do it like yahoo answers. Or is that too complicated?

Answer #4

You should do the 1-10 scale. That way you can rate more than one answer.

Answer #5

Maybe allowing all Answers to be rated using A’s instead of stars in a 1 to 5 format where 5 A’s was best and 1 A was worst.

Answer #6

I really want it to be so that we can rate as many answers as we want if its our own question. Obviously one rating per answer would be great.

Answer #7

the 1-10 thing sounds good to me

Answer #8

I think its best with the 3 ratings per thread

Answer #9

I agree with the 1-10 scale thing, that sounds like a good idea and I was thinking it myself… =D

Answer #10

I like what hooch said, the yes and no thing. either that or the1-10 scale thing like someone else mentioned

Answer #11

I think its good now because I personally rarely rate what I think is the best answer …I rate the answers that I find are or would be unhelpful to questions

Answer #12

1-10 or 1-5 scale is a pretty good idea, since that’s how pictures are rated!! and it’d be nice to rate as many answers as we like, especially if it’s a question of our own!
