  Dogs will sometimes eat it...but that still won't take the stain out. Wipe up what you can with paper towels...then with clean paper towels, soaked in water, drizzle the cold water back into the spot. More paper towels, so suck that up...and a "stain remover", like Spot Shot or Resolve to bust the stain.

  My brother's girlfriend taught me the BEST trick for this. It might not completely get the stain out, but it got most of it out for us.

  Wet the spot. Then if they have baby powder or anything like it, put that on and rub it in.

  It worked for us REALLY well. YOu can't even see the spot on our carpet anymore.

  I guess I would start by cleaning it up with some paper towels or something, and then maybe spray it down with some carpet cleaner. and scrubbing the heck out of it.
